Semi-Custom Collection Guide

At Em Paper Co., we enjoy the custom design process too much to limit our couples to a set collection of envelope colors, letterpress inks, paper colors, etc. Instead, we’ll work with our couples to personalize each invitation suite to be unique to them. While the integrity of the design remains, we will further customize a semi-custom invitation suite to fit our couples' personal aesthetic and their wedding style.

If there are any additional questions about customizations, please email Emma directly at hello@empaperco.com.

The Process

01. Select Your Suite

Browse through our semi-custom collection and pick a suite that speaks to your aesthetic and wedding style. Select the quantity, print method, and paper type. Make the suite uniquely yours with customizable elements and adding additional embellishments like envelope liners and wax seals.

02. Place Your Order

As you prepare to add your selection to the cart, you’ll be asked to fill out a form to capture the information we will use to personalize your suite. This will include wording questions as well as wedding style questions. Please take care to answer this Customization Form as completely and accurately as possible.

03. Begin Design

Once your order is completed and all necessary information is captured, the design process begins right away. We will curate a color palette based on your wedding style. This will be sent along with the digital proof of your suite within 7-10 business days.

04. Proofing & Production

Please review your digital proof and provide any feedback necessary to make your suite perfect. Only two rounds of design changes are included with the order so review your proof carefully. Once the proof approval is received, the suite will be sent off to production. We'll package and ship your finished pieces, and notify you with shipping information.

The Print Method

Semi-Custom-Digital-Printing.JPG

Digital

The most cost-efficient printing method. Digital printing will print your invitations smoothly without raised or indented impressions. Digital printing is also known as flat printing.

Digitally printed stationery takes approximately 3-4 weeks upon approval, plus shipping.

Letterpress

Letterpress printing is created by pressing a custom-made inked plate of the design into paper to create a beautiful, pillowy impression of the pattern. This can be done without ink to create a blind impression.

Letterpress printed stationery takes approximately 4-5 weeks upon approval, plus shipping.

Foil

Instead of pressing ink, foil printing will press a metal plate lined with foil into the paper. This will also create an indented impression, but with a shiny, metallic finish.

Foil printed stationery takes approximately 5-6 weeks upon approval, plus shipping.

The Paper Type
